Serious product safety concerns are plaguing SHEIN, as several of their items were discovered to have toxic substances well above safe limits.
An investigation by South Korean authorities found that eight leather items from SHEIN had dangerously high concentrations of phthalates, a plastic-softening chemical.
According to Roy Morgan, 770,000 Australians make at least one purchase from SHEIN each month.
